About

Kaleipuupuu’s mission is to honor and perpetuate Hawaiian culture by preserving and teaching the art of lei making. Through hands-on education, we inspire connection, creativity, and aloha, ensuring these traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.

Our story

Kahi Barrett Keyes is a native hawaiian lei maker from the east side of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Rooted in a passion for teaching and creating, he shares spaces where people can connect, learn, and experience the art of lei. Through his work, Kahi seeks to inspire others to begin their own lei journey and carry forward the traditions and spirit of lei making.
